Chisago Age Well launched in 2018 as the result of the statewide Silos to Circles Initiative. Today they are a nonprofit coalition of more than 30 local community members and service providers both private and not-for-profit, who work together to benefit older adults and their caregivers in Chisago County. In support of their commitment to educate and inform the community about available resources, Chisago Age Well has become known for its annual Age Well Expo.
Their mission: To increase awareness of, access to, and satisfaction with, existing services and health resources in the community. To strengthen the relationships between senior community members, service providers, and health systems to benefit older adults and their caregivers.
Chisago Age Well believes that helping groups serving older adults learn about each other improves community-wide knowledge of resources. The beneficiaries include recent retirees or soon to be retired, older adults, their caregivers, churches and service groups seeking members or volunteers, and local businesses and agencies that serve seniors.”
Chisago Lakes Area Community Foundation has awarded multiple grants to Chisago Age Well, including a $4000 award as a finalist in the 2022 Big Idea Competition.
